Check out the Spring 2016 issue of Sweet Inspirations, a literary magazine featuring the work of Lauderdale County's students in grades 7-12.

The Lauderdale County School System consists of 10 schools and is located in the heart of the beautiful Tennessee Valley.  Lauderdale County Schools have a tradition of producing some of the best students in the Northwest Alabama area since our first class graduated in 1913.  Our schools are committed to excellence as we educate Alabama's future leaders and workers.  Through the combined efforts of dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and cooperative communities, Lauderdale County students are provided with a solid education.

Just what is the Common Core?  There is a lot of misinformation circulating about the Common Core Standards, which is what Alabama's College and Career Readiness Standards are based upon.  Here is a video that might help you, as a parent, better understand exactly what the Common Core standards are.

***Lauderdale County's Graduation Rate for 2014-2015 is 94% (up from 91%)
